Ty Carrington is a copywriter with 13+ years experience behind some of the world’s biggest brands.
He started out in New York working with NBC Universal launch a social hub for an upfront season that would help pull in $2.1 billion in ad sales. At Ogilvy he got bottled water from Maine to sound better than Fiji, overhauled the identity of a global airline alliance, invented cocktails for San Pellegrino, turned data from the US Open into New York stories, shaped Amex’s partnership with Cheddar News, launched gig speed internet for Comcast Business, got Americans to rethink their prejudice against the UK as a holiday destination, and got Coke Zero into college football.
Later he was hired on to build out the Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Heineken team at Publicis where he ran campaigns for cloud computing and an MLS activation for Heineken produced with FunnyOrDie.
In 2020 he was recruited to Apple TV+ where he helped establish their social presence, while also contributing to activations for hit TV series Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest, Silo, and Calls. He also interviewed Tom Hanks.
He is currently working on activations at Apple in Los Angeles. His recent work includes a recycling campaign that worked with creators to flip the social trend of ‘unboxing’ into ‘reboxing’ and writing a Quitter’s Day anthem for Apple Watch.
